The life sciences industry, more than other high technology industries, relies heavily on the knowledge developed in leading research universities and insitutions. Similarly, secure intellectual property is a core component to successful biotechnology companies that must compete in highly competitive global economy. This workshop was designed to provide participants with valuable best practices and professional contacts to those directly involved in the technology transfer and commercialization process at their research institution. Attendees included researchers, technology transfer officers, entrepreneurs, and government officials responsible for supporting science and technology-based economic development.
Audio recordings of the workshop sessions is available on the UC San Diego Extension online course website. User name and password required for access. Each session is listed under the "Lessons" link. If you have questions about accessing the audio, please contact Nathan Owens at San Diego Dialogue.
