EVENTS

In 1997 San Diego Dialogue established the Forum Fronterizo luncheon series to provide civic leaders with a venue to examine opportunities and challenges in the San Diego/Baja California metropolitan region.

The Forum has regularly attracted a distinguished audience of over 300 business, government and academic leaders from both sides of the border, including the region’s key elected officials and CEOs.

The 23rd Forum Fronterizo was a featured panel of the North American Competitiveness, Innovation & Clean Energy Conference 2010. The Confrence was presented by the US Department of Commerce, the Mexico Business Center at the San Diego Regional Chamber of Commerce, the Trans-Border Institute at the University of San Diego, and San Diego Dialogue. 23nd Forum Fronterizo
Transitioning to a Low-Carbon Economy

"China is not waiting to revamp its economy.  Germany is not waiting.  India is not waiting.  These nations -- they're not standing still.  These nations aren't playing for second place.  They're putting more emphasis on math and science.  They're rebuilding their infrastructure.  They're making serious investments in clean energy because they want those jobs.  Well, I do not accept second place for the United States of America."
