The Border Wait Time Reports present the estimated queuing
delay for northbound passenger vehicles at the San Ysidro
and Otay Mesa border crossings. They are prepared by Dr.
James H. Banks of the Department of Civil and Environmental
Engineering at San Diego State University. His conclusions
are based on data provided by Metro Networks of San Diego
and the U.S. Customs Service. The reports have a three-month
lag time (e.g., the January 2000 report was posted in
April 2000); on this website, they date back to August
1999.
